Airlines have never exactly been the most transparent. Unfortunately for this passenger, he came to understand this fact far too late.
He arrived at the airport and demanded a second seat because he insisted that he needed the extra room. The airline employee tried to explain that this wouldn't be necessary and that he would have plenty of room on the flight, but the impatient and entitled male Karen customer insisted that he needed the extra seat. Little did he know, when the lady at the airline said he should have more than enough room, she wasn't just talking about the standard amount of space that passengers have. She failed to mention a key detail: there was plenty of room because the flight was nearly empty. Now, none of this justifies the male Karen's outburst that ensued when he got on the plane and learned this himself.
