I have always been of the opinion that no matter how nice a name is, if you associate it with somebody who caused you pain it is enough to put you off it for life. I've got to admit that while it might be unreasonable, if I meet a person, dog, or houseplant who shares a name with any unsavory ex of mine it can make me instantly dislike them.
Apparently, though, this isn't the same for everybody. In fact, they like to go as far as choosing to recycle. This is something that one man recently horrified the internet with, as he insisted he and his new girlfriend name their baby daughter after his ex. It's fair to say that neither woman was pleased when they found out. It's not uncommon for people to struggle to get over past relationships, but this is a move that takes it to the next level.
