Good day to all the Tolkien-heads and nasty little hobbitses out there! It's another beautiful opportunity to celebrate one of the best fantasy series of all time with yet more goofy humor. It's crazy to consider what with its enduring popularity, but did you know that most cast members in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring got paid barely anything for a movie that grossed almost $900 million worldwide? That's according to Cate Blanchett/Galadriel, who revealed the tidbit in an interview last week and claimed that she "basically got free sandwiches… and I got to keep my ears". If you ask me, that is all the more reason to celebrate everybody's wonderful performances by using them as inspiration for memes. They deserved the recognition that they got, and continue to get through a fandom that just won't quit with in-jokes and image macros for days.
