'It's always nice when a big boss... lays down the law': Entitled greeting store customer claims she knows the CEO, the CEO calls her bluff

If you're going to claim you're BFFs with the CEO, you'd better be ready to prove it. 

First of all, has that line ever worked? It seems like some customers can't help but think that saying "I'm friends with the owner!" or "I know the CEO very well!" is a magical pass to getting whatever they want. This customer believes that just because they "know" the CEO, that the employees will suddenly start kissing up to them. That's not how it works, I'm afraid. 

Second of all, even if the CEO was her friend, why would this woman demand a discount? You want to shop at your friend's store and demand a massive discount? That's not a very friendly thing to do at all. 

Third of all, the customer in u/Smeghead85's tale actually got to meet the CEO that very day.
