Though summer vacation is coming to a close for many folks who used up all of their PTO and children are gearing up for some unanticipated back-to-school shenanigans, beaches and lakes are still open through Labor Day. That means our trusted lifeguards are still wary and on the clock for another few weeks. Lifeguards, our honorable life-savers in that hard-to-miss bright red color, are likely already sick of the summer. We've had an unusually warm summer this year, and what comes with that is a lot of sunburns, dehydration, and immense fatigue.
As we gear up for the colder months here in the States, lifeguards are using the last bits of their yelling voices to make sure kids “WALK, DON'T RUN". I'd be annoyed, too, if my job was to save lives and I spent the entirety of the summer band-aiding children's knees from tripping on the pool deck. Lifeguards are not babysitters! Anywho, we're sure the lifeguards are ready to hang up their whistles for the season, so scroll these memes if you're ready to hop off the stand and get into some regular clothes as the summer comes to a close.
