Galadriel scared all of us when we were young.
Whether it was her outburst at Frodo when he offered to give her the ring (terrifying), or if it was simply because she was too ethereal to exist on the same moral plane as someone hearty like Sam, Galadriel always has a way of unsettling the hearts of Men. Naturally, she's captivating, but in the same way that the sweet honey of a beehive captivates a bear. You're enchanted by her smell, beauty, and scent, but then you're stung by 1,000 bees.
She is not an Elf to be trifled with!
With her own Ring of power and the formidable gaze of eternity itself, Galadriel is dramatically effective in cultivating equal parts reverence and terror in everyone's soul. She passed the test with Frodo–withstanding the allure of Ring's infinite power, she proved that she could diminish in the West like her predecessors. Offering her highest praises, she set Frodo and Sam off on their journey, saying, 'Even the smallest person can change the course of the future'.
As the hobbits were pushed to succeed by her bidding, Galadriel remained Galadriel. But I bet even high-powered Galadriel couldn't withstand the enticingly delightful allure of these LOTR memes. Keep scrolling to fend away the end-of-week scaries, because ultimately, like Galadriel, the conclusion of the workweek only seems spooky, but actually marks a heartwarming commencement of our favorite time of the week: The weekend.
