It's Olympics season, baby! And whether you're into sports or simply excited about hanging out on the couch with your cats and some snacks, you've probably been watching the events like the rest of us. Hoomans have been achieving Olympic records and conquering feats of athletic ability to entertain the masses, tempting their audience to attempt some sports of their own (at their own peril). Even though cat lovers are not known as the most graceful of the hooman community, we're still tempted to try our own embarrassing version of the balance beam or the 100m dash. All the while, our cats sit idly by, watching and wondering when we'll give up on athleticism entirely.
Let's be real, cats are the real athletes of the family.
They're graceful, they're cunning, they're speedy, and they're smol. Cats are perfectly apt for achieving feats that a hooman could never conquer, including (but not limited to), speed-eating tuna, laser pointer target practice, and midnight zoomies. So step right up to enjoy a cat who wins the gold medal in cuteness as well as a handful of other Olympian efforts, purroving that felines are far more athletic than we think.
