August has just begun, and you know what that means…we only have one month to hit the beach before the kids go back to school, and we stay right where we are. Summer ending as an adult isn't as life-shattering as it is when you're under 18, but it doesn't mean there isn't still some loss. Think about how much fun you had last June and July versus last September and October. If you're me, that difference is stark as heck. There will still be some indoor swimming pools and tanning beds for when the temperature goes down, but that's nothing compared with going to a real sand beach and soaking up the real sun.
