Karen customer Customer comes in to pick up their order. I bring it out and unwrap it and present it to her and she immediately points out that there is a sliver of unpainted ares showing on one side of the art. I look at th order form to see what was said in the notes and there is a whole pragraph indicating how picky the customer is. She demands that i take the paper off the back the frame and try to adjust the painting while she watches/waits because she doesnt want to come back. So I get the

Obviously some little bits of paper stick to the ATG and it doesnt just rip cleanly off. The customer starts touching the back of the frame and gets mad becase it is sticky. She doesnt want the frame to be sticky even when i explain to her that it will be covered up when i re do the paper on the back. Shes still not happy. She doesnt want glue on the frame. I ask her "so do you not want me to put paper on the back and just leave the unfinished back of the frame exposed?" No!!! She still wants pa

am i supposed to attach the paper without glue (atg)? She wouldnt have even known there was glue there if she didnt make me open it back up to adjust it by 1/16th of an inch. Then when i adujust it how she requests another part shows that she doesnt want. And she goes on a rant about how the frame should be custom made to the art so she doesnt understand why there is room for the art to move at all. It should fit like a glove and we obviously measured wrong. Thanks Karen, can i go back to doing

absolutementalkhaos • 6d ago We recently fired a customer. We did and re-did and re-ordered and tore apart that frame 7 times in total. We lost so much money from comping MP acrylic to refunding the whole order to actually paying HER for something she claimed we did to the art. The SM got so fed up she told this person she should take her business elsewhere moving forward. It was almost one of those "and then all the framers clapped" moments! ⇧ 25 ↓ Reply

    • s_eabird 6d ago I had a lady complain that there was a small scratch on the bottom of the frame. Like towards that back on the under side of the frame. So I reordered it for her and when she came to pick up the new one she still wasnt happy because on the side there was another "scratch". The molding has a little bit of texture to it so it just wasnt completely uniform. I understand custom framing is expensive but jeez some of these people are terribly picky. 16 Reply ...

She, for some reason, LOVES the bamboo. frame and puts it on EVERYTHING. if you've ever had to build any of the bamboo frames, you've likely noticed that the corners don't really match up properly. They're not cut to be seamless.

Anyway, each and every single time she orders these frames, she makes a big hubbub about the corners. We explain to her that this is just normal because... Well, it just is. There's no way to fix this with how the frames are designed. They look like garbage, too.

She's extremely picky, will nitpick the tiniest thing, and will often try to haggle. It worked a couple of times, but after that, we stopped giving her the discounts because she's done this over and over again, knowing full well the outcome. When we stopped giving her the discounts, of course she raised because she wasn't being given special treatment anymore. It's customers like her that just make me not want to give ANY special treatment to anyone. :/ + 10 Reply 0

AVery SleepyBinch 6d ago . I had a customer once who I ended up ordering a total of 5 frames for because none of them were up to her standards. The first three were the same one and after that we made her choose a different moulding ↑ од Reply
