You might think you're a morning person until you have to work the early morning shift at the cafe… Then you're just as grumpy as the night owls. Being a barista isn't for the mentally weak. You have to be able to be patient, fast, and organized by 4 am. Plus, you have to be able to handle non-morning people who might not usually be Karens, but since they had to wake up at 4 am and they don't have their coffee yet, they're throwing a tantrum just for you. It's quite a useful skill to have in life, but not everyone can master it. Top-notch baristas do, though. They don't really have a choice. They either master handling grumpy people desperate for their caffeine in the AM, or you quit. Anybody who has worked in a cafe has most likely witnessed some new hire quitting mid-morning shift because they can't handle it. But you can! And that's why you deserve this extra bold brew of barista memes.
