In this modern age of internet forums and social media, You don't have to be right to win an argument, you just have to be TECHNICALLY right! It's amazing how many arguments you can end with a precisely placed smart-ass answer. Most of the times people don't look for the truth, they just want to be entertained, and if you can provide that to them, they will concede defeat just to allow the joke to land.

So the next time you find yourself in a heated argument (and especially if you suddenly realize you've been wrong all along) consider the possibility of a well timed "technically correct" answer. Nobody cares if it's right or wrong, as long as you say something funny (and preferably devastating) that leaves your opponent with no ammo to fire back. Whether you like it or not, Being witty is better than being correct.
