Actually, now that I think about it, it's probably the case. After years of superhero movie consumption, the rising popularity of online gaming, and everyone learning how to code, nerds are everywhere now.
And it's not a bad thing. Nerds usually have great taste and are usually the ones driving culture. If we didn't have nerds, we wouldn't have so many Star Wars sequels or Star Trek spinoffs or have so much hype around Dune. So it's no wonder that more people are joining the dark side.
