OP (original poster) tells the tale of how their friends were supposed to buy a house when their landlord backed out of the deal and decided to try and sell it for a much higher price. OP and the rest of their friend group decided to ensure no one else would make an offer, by making the house and the neighborhood as unappealing as possible during the open house.
