If you want to control your neighbor's houses, you must move into a neighborhood with a Homeowner's Association. That is the only way you can guarantee that all of the mulch in everyone's front lawn is the right color and that no pink flamingos will take permanent residency on your street. If you move into a neighborhood without an HOA and someone paints their house brat green, there really isn't anything you can do about it except pack your bags and go. 

It's so easy to cast a judgmental glance at the neighbor who makes their house unique, but it shouldn't be this way. Why do we live in a world where we hate people for painting their houses a color other than white, grey, or brown?
