Of all the sci-fi inventions that I wish could come to life, the time machine is probably the one I feel the strongest about. Yes, it would come with its moral quagmires and space-time-altering conundrums, but it sure would be fun. The first thing I would do with a time machine would be to go to Woodstock. No, not the '60s Woodstock you're thinking of. No, I'd go to Woodstock '99 to see Korn and Alanis Morrisette. Sure, I could see those acts now, but nothing would compare to the height of those pre-y2k vibes. And then I would go back in time to ask Jesus what was up, but only after I had my fill of late 90s excellence.
It's fun to think about how your world would be different if you lived in your favorite sci-fi movie, but luckily we're in this life because we have memes here. It's a good life.
