Happy Friday, animal lovers. We've almost made it to the weekend, and we think some congratulations are in order. It's not as easy to make it through the work week as it used to be (maybe we're just getting older), so let's treat ourselves with some wholesome animal videos to walk into the weekend with a pawsitive vibe. Today's video features a feathered friend and her heroic savior, an unlikely pair that went from fence to family with one simple act.

A man stumbled across a swan with its head stuck in a fence, and freed the poor bird. She started following him and getting excited every time they met, so the man decided to adopt his new feathered friend. Their relationship grew into a loving one, where the man even built her a little swan paradise in his backyard. Oh no! What a poor baby. It probably had no idea what was going on and was very scared. We're very thankful for this heroic human who freed him, and it looks like he was paid back with kindness and friendship.

We're not really a huge fan of birds as pets, but if we had to take a bird as a pet, it might as well be a swan. They're gorgeous, and even kind of fluffy. Much nicer than a tiny parakeet.
