Regardless of whether or not you have a car, driving with a carpool to work can be a very positive experience. First, you can save time by using the carpool lane, not to mention it is much better for the environment. Second, you can save a lot of money by not paying for gas alone. But perhaps the most positive thing you can get out of carpool is the company. It is greatly beneficial to have someone to talk to, gossip about topics you can't discuss in the office, and simply bond beyond the work you both do.
But what would you do if the person you usually carpool with, or more specifically, the person you kindly agreed to drive to work because their car broke down, is actually extremely entitled and unkind? What would you do if they spent the entire drive mocking your car and by extension, mocking you? We would say that someone like that spoils any positive experience carpooling offers, and we would have preferred to drive alone.
The employee in this Reddit story would definitely agree with us. Scroll down to read how she handled her entitled coworker when he mocked her car. After you are done with this story, click here for a story of a dispute between an unprofessional car dealer and a buyer.
