Greetings, hunters, ninjas, sorcerers, and scouts. If you're anything like me, you used this past weekend to cross some items off your to-do list, do a little light housekeeping, and binge watch some shōnen anime. I've been watching my favorite characters get punched in the face and subsequently thrown several feet in the air. Then they typically break concrete with each bounce as they crash land in a puff of smoke and rubble, only to get back up with shaky knees and a renewed sense of determination to beat their opponent. I've watched as characters get their arms broken, shattered, and even completely severed, only for them to have it grow back or heal quickly due to some innate power.
Meanwhile, I decided to do a bit of yoga on Saturday morning and am now icing one of my hip muscles because I didn't ease into pigeon pose the way I was supposed to. Yeah, real life isn't anything like anime-- for better and for worse!
