As Charli XCX famously said, in a phrase that kicked off the trend of the summer, "I'm just living that life Von Dutch, cult classic but I still pop. I get money, you get mad because the bank shut." It's still debatable what the Life Von Dutch actually entails… is it just a nod to a cult classic early Aughts fashion brand, or is it 2024's take on the phrase La Dolce Vita?
Either way, it resonated with people all over the world and officially ushered in Brat summer. It's what summer is all about, after all, being fun and free and slaying the day away.
