Weddings are a ton of work to organize. With a million moving parts, hundreds of decisions, and thousands of dollars on the line, it truly is a high-stakes event. Guests don't always realize the amount of work that goes into such a special day, but when the bride and groom finally get to walk down the aisle, they can heave a sigh of relief that, not only do they get to marry their best friend, but the accursed wedding coordination is over. They can finally relax and enjoy themselves for an evening–no more thinking about napkin colors, recessed lighting, and special menus for guests with a food allergy.
By the time the wedding comes along, the bride and the room just want to have fun with their friends and family.
However, the woman in our next story selfishly decided to make her friend's wedding all about ditching the kids at home and going out to party. Understandably, guests want to get a little lit at a wedding because it's just fun! But when the bride and groom have a dry wedding (no alcoholic bar service) because the groom is 2 years sober, suddenly every decent guest's 'respect radar' goes off and they abandon a night of drinking for a night of wholesome fun at the wedding.
It's common decency, right?
Keep scrolling to read how one woman decided that partying was far more important than supporting her sober friend, claiming the 'wedding was boring' and then rallying a troupe of other party animals to ditch the wedding early to go out to the bars.
