If you were ever taunted or teased as a child, there's a good chance your mom reassured you with this line: "They're just jealous." While that sounded inconceivable then, it seems much more cogent in hindsight. I remember I teased my friend in middle school for being in a Play-Doh commercial, but I was probably just jealous that she was on TV every day, and I wasn't! Instead of ignoring this interaction, the man's coworker called his wife "mommy" and mocked the act of love. Instead of standing up for her, the man took his frustration out on his wife.
