When someone lives away from their parents, the possibility of seeing them split into two options - Either they travel to see their parents or their parents travel to see them. 

Traveling to your parents is usually not a problem. You can stay in your childhood bedroom and feel comfortable in the space in which you grew up. But when your parents come to visit you, it can get quite… tricky, to say the least. The biggest problem of all, is the sleeping situation – Where will your parents stay? Will you let them pay for a hotel, or will you make space in whatever living situation you have going on for yourself at the moment? 

One thing we know for sure is that if you have roommates, you should not make a decision without running it by them first, something that the roommate in this Reddit story failed to do, and even lied about. This led to quite a dispute when the two roommates found themselves living with 3 other people, 2 dogs, and a cat, in a 2-bedroom apartment.
