If you look at the news for too long lately, all that you get are reminders of how many people out there in the world are awful. Everyone has their own interests, no one cares about anyone but themselves… well, but that's not true, is it? That's just negative. That's why we stay away from the news as much as pawssible and read as many wholesome cat rescue stories as we can.
Because while it's true that there are many bad people in the world, there are also so, so many good people, and the cat world seems to have a lot of them. People rescue cats all the time, putting themselves aside and helping these innocent creatures. People save cats from bad owners, from harsh conditions, even from certain death sometimes. Because people are kind, and it's up to us, especially at a time like this, to amplify those people as much as we can.
Listen to us - this is not a sad story. Pets pass. We're all totally in denial about it, that's true, but it's a part of life. If we want all the joy that comes with having a pet, we will have to face the sadness at the end of the road too. The best that we can hope for is something like this - for our cat to be happy at the end.
This is one of the sweetest acts of kindness that we have read about in a long time, and really, we wish that more people helped senior cats in similar situations. Making sure that they are happy in their final moments is so important, no matter how difficult it may be for us to deal with it.
