Today is the day you let your kid play with fireworks. Just kidding, unless… The Fourth of July is so fun as a kid. It's peak summertime fun. I used to spend all day running around my neighborhood with my kid friends, lighting sparklers, getting a sugar rush from those red white, and blue rocket popsicles, and splashing around in a too-small kiddie pool. It was the best. Now, I look forward to the freshly grilled dogs and the day off work.
But if you're a parent, you know that the work never truly stops, especially on holidays. You still have to watch over them and make sure they don't accidentally (or on purpose) light anything on fire. But perhaps today you can do that while throwing back a spiked lemonade and vegging out in an Adirondack chair. And you can top it off by looking at these tweets that 100% understand what you're going through.
