'Taking her along to the appointment would have resulted in tears, confusion, and not finding a dress': Entitled Mother-in-law Stops Speaking to Bride After Not Being Invited Wedding Dress Shopping

Wedding dress shopping is a lot of pressure. There's this idea that you have to find the perfect dress when there are thousands upon thousands of different styles of dresses out there. How can you possibly find the perfect one? And it doesn't help when you have an entourage with you while wedding dress shopping, either. Everyone has different styles, so although you may closely value their opinion, they can certainly cloud you when it comes to choosing the right dress for you. I remember watching "Say Yes to the Dress" growing up and desperately wanting to have a grand dress-shopping experience like that of my own. Now engaged, I would rather go shopping by myself and maybe bring my maid of honor along. 

The bride in this story chose to go a non-traditional route when it comes to wedding dress shopping, and attend a sample sale where she had to make a decision on the spot with no returns instead of having weeks to ponder on this big decision. When her mother-in-law found out about this, things took a turn for the worse.
