There can be entitled supervisors in any situation, it doesn't matter where you work or how good you are at your job. When you get a Karen or Kyle in a position of power, you better believe they're going to try and abuse it as much as they can. They're addicted to the power-tripping. The key to defeating them is to have a supportive staff and a little malicious compliance.
