Tis the season to be jolly-- and tense, horrified, distressed, on the edge of your seat, crying, and shocked. We're two episodes deep into this eight-part prequel to the Game of Thrones. While book readers may have some gripes with some on-screen changes, overall it has yet to disappoint. The show and the extremely talented actors have done an amazing job of humanizing all of the characters, making us feel sympathetic to them before (or after) they do something completely evil-- except Criston Cole. We all hate Criston Cole, still.

After episode two's jaw-clenching, intense buildup and tragic ending, we may be left feeling a little more bereft than any fictional world has any right to make us feel.
