When you're working in fast food, not a day goes by without some kind of customer shenanigans. You can head into work in the most peaceful mood, ready to do your best and provide quality customer service, and yet by the end of your shift, the customers will have sapped all of your patience. That's because a lot of fast food customers have the attitude that their order is the most important thing in the whole world. I know, they're hungry, but it's more than hunger: entitlement will have them glaring over the counter to watch as the kitchen workers make their meal, or demanding that you make their drink faster. No matter how many other customers are around, they're insistent that they should get their meal first.
One person shared that their worst day at work came while they were working at a restaurant known for its chicken. On that day, they had both a visit from higher-ups, as well as a massive order requiring hundreds of pieces of food. Giant orders like this can take hours to prepare, so this truly sounds like a nightmarish day for everyone involved. You can check out a bunch of eye-opening stories down below, as told by workers of all sorts of fast-food restaurants.
Next up, read about some hilarious malaphors (mixed metaphors) that some creative people came up with, like one person who said, "I woke up on the short end of the stick."
