Greetings, fellow anime enjoyers. Weekend's up. I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing couple of days with your favorite 2D characters. Perhaps you've been hunting down demons in Taisho Period Japan, collecting criminal bounties in space while listening to jazz, or sailing the seas with a rag-tag group of pirates in search of a fabled treasure. For some, our weekend adventures were rendered in full color with gorgeous, fluid animation. Others, less fortunate, may have had to endure the part of the series that was handed off to a lesser animation studio in order to save money for the juciest plot points. My condolences to those forced to watch off-model animations of their favorite characters, but I hope the filler episodes were at least entertaining. And at last, others chose to use their imagination to bring black-and-white boxes to life in the theater of the mind. Regardless of the chosen method, it was a fun escape while it lasted, and now it's time to rejoin the real world.
