If you have a cat, then one thing that you learn over time is that cats do whatever they want whenever they want to. They're independent… when they're not screaming at you to give them food. They don't need no human… except for when they get their claws stuck in a curtain and think they're going to perish. Cats… they know the rules.

When cats steal food right off your plate, they know they're not allowed to do it. When cats ruin your puzzle and you cry, they know that's not a good thing. When your cats hide in some ridiculous place and make you think they ran away and give you a heart attack and you yell at them in relief when you find them… they know they're not supposed to do it again.
