"I thought [it] would be a total non-issue," this party guest admitted, but they know now that they accidentally committed a party foul.
To eat before the party or not, that is the question. Alongside what to wear to your friend's event, you have to consider if you should have a snack, or even a full meal. It's difficult to socialize when you're hungry, especially if you're the type of person who gets hangry. There's nothing worse than showing up to the function and expecting a dinner, only to realize there won't be food for at least a few more hours.
This person should probably start eating full meals before they attend parties. They shared this surprising story with r/AmItheA******, because they were genuinely curious if they'd done something terribly wrong. I feel bad for this person: they seem like they had good intentions, but just didn't think things through (due to their hunger, perhaps?). Their friends seemed to react badly to their faux pas, but if they ever get invited again, maybe they can show up with plenty of food and beverages to try and smooth things over.
After you read that, this coffee shop customer threw a massive fit when his daughter was accused of swiping a water bottle, but the cameras proved he knew more than he let on!
