The best moments with friends are usually spend sitting around a table of some sort, sipping on a beverage of your choice, and talking. Whether it be a kitchen table, a restaurant booth, a porch in the summertime, or a DnD table, these are the places where the most precious memories are formed. Something about sitting in a circle brings the best out of everyone. That's why we had circle time in pre-school, and that's why we have DnD now.
In a circle, everyone gets to see each other, contribute equally, and feel like part of the group. You're all pointed inward on a shared focal point, and you can make eye contact with everyone. It's how you build connections, how you create collaboratively, and how you come together as a rag-tag team to take down a mythical enemy. People who play Dungeons & Dragons know this. And they also know that they can always turn to memes for inspiration.
