What's the smallest thing you've ever gotten petty over? Maybe it was the time your sibling stole one of your toys, so you hid their favorite toy in retaliation. Or maybe your employer took away some of your hours, so you start standing around while you're on the clock, refusing to work for a minute or two out of spite. It can be a great feeling to be a little petty at times, as u/elwebbr23 knows all too well after their debacle with a customer service representative.
This person decided that they needed to contact customer service over the tiniest little amount of money. As one commenter pointed out, they wasted a bunch of time trying to get that money back. Six dollars might not seem like a lot, but it could buy a roundtrip subway ticket or a breakfast or a large latte. It's not nothing! And besides, at times like these, it's about the principle, not the actual dollar amount.
Up next, these people had no choice but to rage-quit their jobs, and they shared the stories of what happened to push them over the edge, like one dude who sent a company-wide email before walking out the door.
