This particular Reddit thread has to do with the classic story of a man feeling unappreciated for the things he does do, while his wife is being explicit about her wants and needs that he needs to complete. It's her birthday, already she kind of has the upper hand. We understand that he's put a lot of work into her party, cake, and jewelry, but when your wife asks you for a foot massage, you do it. Especially so when it's her birthday! All of this could have been avoided with a simple 'yes, dear.'
