Cats, in a lot of ways, act kind of like humans. They have all kinds of needs and desires, and we, as their owners, are bound by law and love to meet those desires. And we do it with joy. We talk to our cats as if they can truly understand us. We cuddle with our cats when they want to be cuddled, because they enjoy human contact and love just like we do sometimes. We play with our cats and give our cats some of our food and allow our cats to get into the bathroom with us because they're clearly worried we're drowning in there, and that's why they keep screaming for us to let them in.
Silly as some of it may seem, we know that these things make our cats happy. And we know that when we treat them as equals and do these things with them, they feel happier too.
Oh, yeah, cats definitely love it. No matter how much space you have, your cat will be purrfectly happy to run around with you every once in a while. It's adorable. It makes us feel included in their lifestyles. And it's good exercise. For them, but mostly for us.
Because one thing that is true about these games of tag that we play with our cats is that our cats will only stop when they feel like stopping. And not any sooner. We will get yelled at if we don't keep running as long as they want us to. So we do it. And, as we're panting, we are still grateful for our cats.
