'The yellow line is where my responsibility ends': Woman "pushes her luck" to get groundskeeper to cut back all her weeds

This woman had some questions for a local gardener—if only she had been a little nicer about it. 

The older I get, the more my respect grows for people who do physical labor. To say it's hard work is an understatement. Have you ever watched a garbage collector work for a minute or two as they toss bag after bag of trash into the truck, and then you realize they do this impressive feat for eight hours straight? 

The same goes for landscapers and gardeners. Though some of them use riding mowers, I often see landscapers using manual mowers or weed whackers to cut hills or difficult corners of land. They use power tools to trim bushes, hedges, and trees, which always look neat and tidy by the time they're finished. And they do all of this while wearing jeans and long sleeves in all types of weather, including the blistering heat. 

One of the kindest things you can do for people working in labor-intensive positions like this (besides giving them a crisp $20 bill) is giving them a glass of cold water. They will drink it down in like, ten seconds flat, and they're always grateful. One commenter mentioned that simply offering a landscaper a cold beverage is a great way to get them on your side, especially if you want to ask them to do a quick favor for you.
