Inspirational memes can get a bad rap. They're often cast aside by Meme scholars as "irrelevant" or "only for moms who own their own fitness empires," but I disagree. Inspirational quotes or statements printed over an image that's circulated on the internet are as much of a meme as any other text/image combo. This meme form has stuck around throughout the years, mostly being circulated on Facebook by the most earnest members of our society. I would laugh at it, but luckily, I'm not 15 years old and on Tumblr anymore. I can see the value in all different sorts of memes, and a lot of y'all can't stay the same.
