Everybody needs a hobby. For animal lovers, a lot of our hobbies include animals! It's super common to see people enjoy walking their dogs, birdwatching, going on nature walks, riding horses, and creating elaborate squirrel resorts in their backyard. Well, that last one's not very common, but for the woman in our next story, her passion for squirrels was unlocked one hot n' humid summer, closing the door on her old, simple life, and opening a door to a new hobby that would consume her.
Bree was just your ordinary, forest-dwelling woman until last summer when the weather reached record heights. The local squirrel population began seeking shelter on her shaded porch and Bree grew fond of the little critters. After a few days of putting food and water out for the little rascals, she noticed more squirrels coming up to her porch. Things escalated since then and Bree is now the proud owner of a fully-fledged squirrel resort in her backyard–and calling it a resort is no exaggeration.
