We all know how negative the stories about bosses and managers can be when it comes to Reddit. It is a safe space to vent, complain, and plot petty revenge against those who are in charge of the way our workplaces… well, work. It seems that for every genuinely good manager out there, there are around 10 bad ones, and those are usually the ones we read about on Reddit.
However, this Reddit story is like no other, as it comes to show that there are still good managers out there, who even go out of their way to make sure their employees are happy. This hiring manager was looking for new analysts for his office and came across a resume from an external worker who appeared to have nothing to do with analytics. Still, the manager decided to give him a shot and was surprised to learn that he was the perfect fit. He then decided to stand up to HR to make sure that the worker received an offer that he truly deserved, resulting in the worker nearly doubling his current paycheck.
We all have a lot to learn from this manager, so scroll down to read the full story. After you are done, click here for a story of an employee who went through her coworker's desk without their permission.
