Not all bad names are newfangled. It's easy to make fun of millennial parents for naming their kids after Harry Potter characters or adding an -eigh to the end of every name, but sometimes the worst names are the oldest ones in the book. Who could forget that Reddit post where a guy found out his friend who was transitioning decided to name herself Milred? He supported her journey, but definitely not that name.
There's a fine line between a name that could work at any age and one that only works at one age. Often, parents choose a name that's unbecoming of an adult but fine for a baby, but there's always the occasional middle-aged man's name. The latter is what this story is all about.
