This is indeed a very valid question. We think that the best way to answer it is to look at the temperament of raccoons on a larger scale. For example, if I were to touch this raccoon would it be kind and gentle or feral and feisty? It is a 50-50 toss up that, if you are really determined to touch a raccoon, you will need to take.

This is one of those feral and feisty raccoons we were just talking about. And after getting into an altercation about its fish, there is a good chance you would not want to be extending your hand towards it. That is, unless it is to give it another fish, but even then, it would be wise to proceed with caution.
