It's a shame that in Disney's Cinderella that cat was portrayed as the villain. Really, the cat was just mirroring his mom and that's on her. He was loyal AF to his mom and there's nothing wrong with that. How the story should have gone is that everyone should have had their own cat, even the fairy godmother. That way she would have her very own fairy godMEOWther and it would have made it all that more whimsical and cute. Cats are magical creatures, anyone who has had any interaction with a cat knows that they can see beyond our mortal realm. What is it they see with their feline eyes? Who knows? Only the meowgical cats know. There's a reason ancient Egyptians worshipped them like gods. It's because they ARE gods, or at least they know them. Really, we just love a cute magical cat moment.
