I am a part of many fandoms, but something about the shared experience of actually being on stage – acting, singing, dancing, is unlike any experience I have ever had while being a part of a fandom.

Because the theater fandom is so diverse and is actually assembled by hundreds of other fandoms, as each production has its own community of fans, it is hard to explain to outsiders the intensity of the experience of this community.
