As people who love - and we mean love - animals, we always want to know more about them. No matter how much we find out, we know that there is more and more to know. And so we cherish each and every piece of information that we get about them. Like when we found out just how big wolves actually are - way bigger than you probably think. Or that the oldest known land animal alive today is 190 years old - totally the animal that you would expect it to be. Or that octopus sometimes punch first for no reason other than spite - they really do, there's video proof.
The more ridiculous the fact, the happier we are. And today we learned a particularly ridiculous fact about animals - apparently, alligators are immortal? Well, sort of. Read on, you'll get it.

As if we needed another reason to be afraid of these animals. We get it, they drag people into the water, spin them around till they faint and eat them. That's enough. We really didn't need to know that they could do it forever and ever and ever and ever.
Another fun fact about alligators though: they don't float on the water the way that it looks like from outside. They walk. They have tiny little cute feet, and they walk, and although it doesn't make them any scary, it does totally make them cuter, we swear.
