Cat Follows Her Owner To The Bathroom And Falls Asleep In Their Pants, Causing Others To Share Their Funny 'Cats In Pants' Pictures As Well

If there is one thing that we have learned over our years of being cat parents, it's that… cats are weird. And wait, wait, let us preface this by saying that cats are purrfect, and we love cats, and they're the best thing in the world, and we would do anything for them, and yes, they are weird. It's just that we have noticed… some funny habits that cats have. Like when cats yell at closed doors for no reason, or when cats choose the most uncomfortable place to sleep on, or like how cats maintain hard eye contact with us while they're doing things that they know they're not allowed to do.

And of course, cats' weird habit of following us to the bathroom. We have read many reasons for why this may be, but no one has a concrete explanation. It's just something that they do, and we giggle about it every time it happens.

Oh, are you new to this? Did you not know that cats follow you to the bathroom pretty much every time you're there and that their favorite place to sit is in your lowered pants once you're there? Because they do. All of them. And if you're in there long enough… is it really a surprise that she fell asleep there?

We imagine that they do this - following us to the bathroom - because they're trying to guard us. The toilet is, in essence, just a large water bowl that everyone faces the danger of falling into, and our cats know how clumsy we are, so they have to protect us from it, just in case we do something oh so silly like we usually do.
