Wildest Posts From the Depths of Facebook (May 25, 2024)

If you're plugged into this kind of thing, you may have heard rumblings recently about another dubious accolade that Facebook has brought upon itself. According to some social media nerds, it is at the forefront of proving dead internet theory. This is the idea that most of the internet is now bot activity, encouraged by the curation of the algorithm. 

Why is the Zucc's precious creation showing us this, you may ask? Well, there appears to be a huge trend for pages whose sole purpose is posting creepy AI art, and then a load of other AI accounts react to them and post comments. It's a sight to behold, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to share some of the highlights. Here at Memebase, though, we care about the alive internet and want to remember all the crazy things that real people do on this platform, too. It's a mixed bag.
