"I am also going through everyday torture of her petty comments about my vacation, but I am gonna count it as a victory, as small it is!"

Isn't it funny when you are interviewing for a job and they talk up all the PTO and vacation days you get, but then once you start working there and you plan to use those days, management gets all salty? So funny… NOT. We have to ask months in advance these days just to take a vacation. Two weeks is the normal ask, but that's if you want a long weekend. If you want to take a few weeks off to travel and get an actual experience in, then you're going to have to ask wayyyyy in advance, even before you book it. That is exactly what this Redditor did and she got her days off approved 3 months prior! However, her petty manager wanted some days off and got denied, so she tried to deny the Redditor's already pre-approved days off just out of spite. Outraged, this employee marched to her manager's desk, right in front of the CEO, and told her that if she wanted to cancel her vacation days, she was also going to have to pay her back for all of the money she already put into it since she was approved. Sufficed to say, she's still going on that vacation and getting her PTO for it. A win is a win!
