Entitled Husband Asks Wife Not to Hang Out with New Friends Because He Fears Losing Her, Internet Sets Him Straight: 'I feel like she would leave me if she had any other options'

In romantic relationships, it's important for each partner to be able to have their own friends and interests. And if they are interested in things you aren't, that's okay, as long as you are supportive of them. You can't forbid your partner from doing something completely harmless just because you don't like it. That is the perfect way to unnecessarily ruin a marriage, kind of like what this husband is facing right now. He took it to the internet because he's torn about his behavior. 

His wife, a stay-at-home mom, has recently expressed that she feels lonely now that their kids are getting older. She was able to reconnect with an old friend from college, and they picked their friendship back up right where they started. They have lots of the same interests: literature, galleries, writing, etc. Her husband, however, does not have the same interests, as he works in tech and is more on the conservation side. He told his wife that he was afraid of losing her to this new friendship and asked her not to spend as much time with her. His wife agreed, but advice from his sibling is making him think twice. Hopefully, after he reads these comments, the internet will truly set him straight.
