Most of us try our best to be polite at work, but sometimes those silly, childish customers have a bit of sass coming for them. At a certain point, customer service goes right out the window and employees are faced with a decision: Do I grin and bear it? Or should I sock it to this impolite customer? The call center employee in this next story chose the second option and hilariously shut up an immature client once and for all.
While working for a grocery store chain call center, the witty worker in this next tale found themselves testing the limit of their patience with nearly every call. One particular customer, a seemingly older man by his voice, pushed them to their limit one day after reacting childishly to a simple question. The call center employee asked if they were the person in the household who was responsible for the grocery shopping–and when the man released the biggest, most derogatory guffaw the call center worker had ever heard, the gloves were off.
