20 Poorly-designed items that are almost impossible to clean

We're all for interior design, but some of these things are beautiful… and impossible to keep clean.

Cleaning is a never-ending chore. You'll always have to do dishes and laundry, and those floors won't mop themselves. In any house, there are bound to be a few hard-to-reach corners or crevices. When that's the case, people tend to just ignore it. Who cares if the top of a cabinet is dusty, or if that one crawlspace has built up some dirt?

Well, it's a whole different story when it's a prominent light fixture… or one of your bathrooms. Yes, there's an entire bathroom here that's made of smooth stones, dozens of them. It looks uncomfy to walk on and sit on, and cleaning it must take hours! Sometimes things look really cool, but have no reason to exist. The stone bathroom is a good example of that.

There there are things like the tumbleweed light fixture. It looks like the kind of lamp that gets installed in a millionaire's summer home that they only visit once a year. I'm sure someone is paid big bucks to stand there with a duster or some Q-tips and get every speck of dust off of it. For the average homeowner, though, I imagine some spiders would be happy to make their webs upon it.
